NFT archaeology is a new field of study where individuals seek to uncover the NFT projects that laid the foundations of modern culture. 2014 is considered ancient in NFT land (NFT Now Oct.’22)  and it is interesting to see how the space has evolved since then.

Genie was the first NFT marketplace aggregator launched in late 2021 and then bought by Uniswap about six months later. In Dec 2022 Genie died and NFTs on Uniswap was born.
